For 2008, Versa expands its appeal with an optional Sport Package for Versa Sedan SL models (already available on Versa Hatchback SL). The Sport Package adds a higher level of performance styling with a rear spoiler, lower body side sill extensions, unique front and rear fascia (Hatchback) and chin spoiler (Sedan) and fog lights.
Built on Nissan's B-platform, Versa's unique packaging layout provides a spacious cabin with class-leading head and rear legroom. The front-wheel drive Versa is offered in two body styles, a five-door hatchback and four-door sedan -- each available in two well-equipped models, the Versa 1.8 S or the Versa 1.8 SL. The motor mates to a choice of a six-speed manual gearbox, four-speed automatic or Xtronic CVT transmission.
